Friday Man.

It's like Christmas, you know? It's like the beautiful, warm Christmas where the gifts you receive are emotional instead of physical. And if it's Christmas, you're my Santa Claus.

Love,

you're like a Fireworks Stand
in July

you're like school shopping
in August

you're like stargazing
in September

you're like a costume shop
in October

you're like a prayer
in November

you're like a stocking
in December

you're like a kiss at midnight
in January

you're like Harts' hot chocolate
in February

you're like a Friday
in March

you're like pointe shoes
in April

you're like Memorial Day
in May

but mostly

you're like a day in June.

June holds beautiful oppurtunities, where you don't regret, where you live life.
June looks beautiful, June smells beautiful, June feels beautiful.
My love for you is June.

love always, laura elizabeth.

post script: I feel like a drive-in theater is just a big excuse to make out with someone in a car.
...
why don't they still exist??

happiness is perspective.

It's come to my knowledge that I'm not exactly the writer I profess to be,
or the dancer I'm said to be,
or the actress I try to be,
or the singer I pretend to be,
or the flirter it'd help to be,
or the person I'd like to be.

It's true that my life isn't anything I thought it would be at this point in time.
It's true that I get far more jealous than I should.
It's true that I'm not always as nice as I seem.
It's true that I'm not always as happy as I seem, either.

However...
I do have a roof over my head and PLENTY of food to eat.

I do have the chance to improve my writing,
to keep stretching and devoting myself,
to be in shows and improve my experience,
to take some voice lessons,
to be myself and hope it's enough,

and God knows I'm getting better every day.

I have a lot more than so many in the world, and so do you.
Don't take it for granted.

also, maybe i love you, sigh.
also also, i miss everyone...come back....

love, laura.

Love is being fearless.

We've all been there.

We've all had those moments where we feel
like we aren't good enough
like we aren't beautiful
like we'll never be loved.

We've all wondered if there really is a guy out there
that will be a perfect match.

We've all regretted.
We've all hurt.
We've all cried.

We all have feelings.

Treat no one otherwise.

Everyone deserves love.
Everyone deserves happiness.
Everyone deserves friendship.

Treat no one otherwise.

And I don't know why,
but with you'd I'd dance
in a storm in my
best dress

love laura

Birthdays.

The last fourty four minutes of being fourteen.

Fourteen brought me...insanity.  Last year on my birthday, I danced with Voldemort.  We had a big thing going on then.  Later, I had my first kiss while fourteen.  My first breakup, my first heartbreak.

I've gained so many amazing friends, and lost a few as well.  I'd like to regain a couple of those.  One in particular.

I've loved so much, I've cried so much.  I've laughed, I've frowned, I've smiled and danced and fell and got on my feet again and again.

I broke my first bone.

So here's to fourteen.

And here's to fifteen!!

So, so, so much love,
Laura.

Relationships between ANYONE are like tandem bikes; it's a lot easier to stay up when both people make an effort.

My dear friend who gave me the dolphin necklace:

I miss you.

~   ~   ~
On a happier note, today is Earth Day.  I love Earth Day.  It's a chance to thank the Earth.  While I was too busy to do anything good, I did spread the word of peace.  Let's stop wars and start love.  Let's stop fighting and start smiling.  Stop littering, stop wasting water and paper, stop making your mom drive you one neighborhood over.  There is such a thing as bikes.  We only get one Earth, let's preserve it.
More than that, my beliefs in God involve nature in the most intimate way.  I believe that He IS nature, and that he is everything.  This is called Pantheism;  The belief that we are all manifestations of God, that he doesn't have a particular personality.  Pantheistics often recognize God in nature.  Which basically defines my beliefs on a whole.  This way I believe that on Earth Day we are not only thanking the Earth, but we are giving back to God.  So thus I say, HAPPY EARTH DAY!!  (:

Friend this was originally titled to:  Do you even still read my blog?

Because we're Awesome and We are Dancers.

Dance is the best feeling in the world.  Dance is the best thing in my life.  Without it I'd be some uninspired and fat bum.  It's the best thing when I find someone who shares the passion just as fully with me.

Everyone dies, but not everyone lives.

"The first time I saw you smile,

My eyes said: She's beautiful..
My brain said: jakllj;ljijerloafjolfkjld
My heart said: Dibs."
-letters to crushes

When I read that, my heart melted.  Literally.

Honestly?  Winning me over is so incredibly easy.  If only there were a guy who would want to know that.

...I hate boys.

I fear of not living.

Love, Starfish.

You know something's up when you start comparing love to math.

Math is confusing.

Sometimes you have both sides of the equation so you go about solving it, and when you finally do you could jump for joy and everything is just so happy and beautiful.  Then you plug it in and for some reason it doesn't work so you go about solving it again and you come up with the same thing again.  This time, instead of being happy, you feel frusterated and sad that you can't get it to change.  Then you finally figure out what you were doing wrong.  And that process goes on forever.  Until you finally find the right answer.

Sometimes you don't have both sides.  You only have the confused side, the side that doesn't just tell you what it is.  You spend so long and you finally figure out what's on the other side but how are you supposed to know if it's right or not?  You don't, usually.  Sometimes it is.  See paragraph one.

You know that problem that everyone has seen?  Where when you simplify it down, it goes to i<3u?  Well, sometimes love is just simplifying things down too.  It really all depends on the problem.  Or the person.

sorry about the math analogy.

Love, StarFish.

If you even still read my blog, here's the poem I promised. Even if it isn't about what you wanted it to be, and more about what we were.

Were

we were pictures on the swings
setting on simpler times
sweet passing though now bitter.
once a hug, now
barely a glance,
old opinions turned by new friends
and new opinions found by old friends.
we were crayons and coloring books,
and letters between semicolons and numbers.
once one space between,
but now many returns.
we were stupid video games,
and movies and makeovers,
and ice cream and clothes
and friends.
new by chance,
best by love,
but why forgotten?

You know who you are.

To the person the poem is about,

If you still read my blog, let me know you saw this.  Or at least text me and say it was a terrible poem.  Give me some sign that says you read it.  Or don't.  Leave me wondering.  I care but you don't, so I'll pretend.  Sorry it isn't a happy poem about smiles.

To all my other followers,

I love you guys.

StarFish.
